"I bought the mobile washer five or six months ago, but didn't really expect much. The first time I used it though, it more than paid for itself. I had a couple of really gross cleaning rags and didn't expect them to come clean. I let them soak for about fifteen minutes with some dish liquid and a little bleach then spent about three minutes plunging them. I was amazed at how clean they got.

I've washed slips, nightgowns, and other small items with less soap and water and in a lot shorter time than using a washer. It's especially nice because I live in an apartment building and it can be a pain in the neck to get a washer."

This washer uses a technique of pushing and pulling the water through the clothes without excess friction (which also reduces the wear on your clothes). This mobile washer uses minimal water and because of the agitation motion, less soap. Use in a bucket (5-gallon suggested), sink or tub. This hand washer is also able to rinse your clothes using fresh water. The Mobile Washer is a great item to have with your emergency and outdoor supplies.

I BOUGHT ONE A WEEK AGO AND I LOVE IT. IT WORKS JUST LIKE IT SAYS IT DOES—IT REALLY GETS OUT THE DIRT AND RINSES THE CLOTHES GOOD—SURE U HAVE TO USE SOME PHYSICAL EFFORT, BUT IT SAVES ALOT OF MONEY AND WHEN U TRAVEL—TAKE IT ALONG!! I USE 2 BUCKETS WHILE I SIT ON A LITTLE PLASTIC BENCH, IN THE BATHTUB. I USE ONE BUCKET FOR WASHING—AND U CAN LET YOUR CLOTHES SOAK BEFORE USING THE WASHER FOR GRUNGIER CLOTHES. AND THE OTHER FOR RINSING. THEN ONCE THE WATER IS CLEAR I PUT THE FABRIC SOFTENER IN AND GIVE A FINAL SWISHING!! WRING OUT AND HANG. I WISH THERE WAS A DEVICE THAT WOULD SPIN THE CLOTHES SO THERE'S NO MORE WRINGING—YUCK!!

So, how is this drastically different than a plunger and bucket? I would imagine you could get roughly the same effect.
