SEASONAL SHIPPING DELAYS

Please note that events outside of our control can occasionally delay shipping times. This can be the result of:

  • A holiday rush, especially around Thanksgiving, Black Friday/Cyber Monday and Christmas

  • National crises such as economic downturns, political unrest, supply chain breaks, etc.

  • Regional disasters like hurricanes, snowstorms, earthquakes, and wildfires that drive up demand even as they obstruct regular delivery service.

For larger orders over 500 lbs, shipments may be sent via LTL freight and can take an additional 1–2 business days for delivery, depending on carrier scheduling and transit times.

FLAT RATE SHIPPING THAT REWARDS STOCKING UP

Shipping heavy food storage, water, and emergency gear costs more than ever.

Instead of raising product prices to hide free shipping, we chose a simpler and more honest approach.

We charge a flat $14.95 shipping rate on every order placed within the 48 contiguous United States and APOs.

That rate never increases based on how much you order. Whether you buy one item or stock up all at once, your shipping cost stays the same, which means the more you order at one time, the more you save.

Our actual average shipping cost is often well above $14.95 per order, and we absorb the difference to keep checkout predictable and prices focused on the product itself.

WHY NOT FREE SHIPPING?

Free shipping usually means higher product prices.

We believe prices should reflect the product, not built in shipping costs.

Flat rate shipping keeps pricing clear and upfront, and because your shipping cost does not increase as you add items, ordering more in a single purchase saves you more overall.

DOES SHIPPING REALLY COST MORE THAN $14.95?

Yes. Heavy food storage, water, and emergency gear regularly cost us much more than $14.95 per order to ship.

Instead of passing those costs on through higher prices, we choose to take the shipping hit ourselves so you can place larger orders without higher shipping fees. The more you order at one time, the more value you get from flat rate shipping.

SHIPPING RATES FOR THE 48 CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES & APOs

Flat Shipping Rate: $14.95
Orders to APOs may take 3-4 weeks for delivery.

SHIPPING RATES AND TIMES FOR ALASKA & HAWAII

Shipping rates are determined by package weight.

Deliveries are made through USPS. Standard shipping times are between three to four weeks under normal circumstances.

SHIPPING RATES AND TIMES FOR CANADA

Shipping rates are determined by package weight and custom USPS rates. In addition, Canadian customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees related to orders shipped to Canada.  All estimated applicable customs, duties, and taxes will be calculated and displayed at checkout and will be payable along with shipping fees at the time an order is placed.  Standard shipping times to Canada are between two to three weeks under normal circumstances.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

BePrepared.com does not ship internationally.

Returns

Any unopened, unused items sold on BePrepared.com can be returned within 30 days for a refund. The following conditions apply:

  • The customer must initiate the return within 30 days from the original purchase date by contacting Customer Service.  

  • Proof of purchase or receipt is required. 

  • Returned items must be unopened, unused, and in their original packaging and condition. 

  • The customer will be responsible for paying their own shipping costs for returning the item.  Shipping costs and fees are non-refundable.

  • The customer may choose any shipping carrier for the return shipment as the customer is responsible for paying for their own shipping costs for returning the item.

  • Initial shipping charges actually incurred by BePrepared.com may be deducted from your refund.  Our Customer Service team will share these costs with the customer once the return is initiated. 

Upon receipt of the returned items in their original packaging and condition, BePrepared.com will credit the original method of payment for the full purchase price of the products purchased, less the initial shipping charges incurred by BePrepared.com. Please allow a reasonable processing time after receipt of the return. If 30 days have gone by since the date of purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer a credit or refund.

Due to the complexities of international shipping and customs clearance, all orders shipped outside of the United States are final sale. BePrepared.com does not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for Canadian or other international orders at this time.

Taxes

Seller has collected the simplified sellers use tax on taxable transactions delivered into Alabama and the tax will be recited on the customer’s behalf to the Alabama Department of Revenue.
