I would really like to have a discussion about making storage, preparedness and fun for my children. Maybe if it's fun I won't get the moaning and groaning when it comes time to help me.

I would like to see information on how to become more prepared in our poor economy. I don't have much extra money to put into preparedness.
Kathy
Love the site. I would be interested in posts about water purification, recipes for using my beans – other than soup.

I would like to know where to purchase flexible brackets to secure large top-heavy furniture to wall studs. I would like to see Emergency Essentials address this aspect of earthquake preparedness.

I also would like more info on the grain mill. Also, more reviews or ideas on the products available on your site like the volcano stove, grain mills, etc..

I would love to read and participate in a discussion about how greening your home now can help in the long run, if an emergency were to take place. If you could relate how green and eco-friendly some of your products are, you might see a peak in interest.

I would like to see tips and recipies for canning meet and other items (fruits, veggies) using a pressure cooker/canner. If it works, looks like this might be a good resource for prepardness in a lot of areas.

Wonderful site to have to help us all! I am one of your favorite customers, always buying this and buying that. Now I can learn what to do with it all and tips for my garden too!

This is a great idea! Thanks for doing this blog. I am a beginner and just feel overwhelmed with the thought of getting everything prepared. I would love to have something like checklists, how to articles etc. Thanks so much for the chance to win a kit! So exciting!!

I'd like to learn about first aid during emergency situations. Like how best to clean wounds when water is scarce and how to keep wounds from getting any contamination from outside elements. I look forward to reading about all the information you have on emergency preparedness. Thanks!

I'd like to see some non-typical lists of things a family would put in their 72 hour kit other than food and a first aid kit.
Great work on th e blog. I'll be linking to you and hoping I win your emergency kit!

I would love a discussion on camp and hiking safety. In the news each Summer we hear about lost hikers and campers that were unprepared…including the tragic results. Any discussion in terms of preparation for the great outdoors would be helpful.
Michelle
I'd like to know about distilling saltwater for daily usage.
Joe
I think this blog is a great idea. It's a good way for people like me to keep up with you guys online and not just with our catalog.
More places for advice and discussions in this community is always good.
Sarah
Oh, pick me for the free kit! :)

I would love to see a discussion on people with certain illnesses like diabetes and what foods you sell fall into those catagories. Need to have a line of survival foods for diabetics for long stays and for car emergency kits.

I want to know the best way to haul 72-hour kits when you have so many little ones that can't carry their own.

Looking forward to seeing the food storage calculator and ideas on food rotation strategies.

I'd like to see information on how to calculate (in general) the fuel required to run a small generator for a certain period of time – say three days – and along with that, how best to keep an equivalent quantity gasoline or diesel stabilized. Also, what's the "shelf life" of that stabilized fuel.
The Hills
How about random recipes on using food storage? I am not sure how to use some things, or if you use them just the same as regular fresh foods. Details are wonderful! Thanks!
Michelle
I'd like to know about distilling saltwater for daily usage.

These 3 day packs as gifts are a great way to introduce friends and family to the concept of preparing for emergency. I think a lot of people would really suffer if they couldn't get to the supermarket every 2 days. It gets them thinking about it at least.
Anna
I was thrilled to see others comment on the powdered milk. I now feel that I can add this to my supplies and my family will actually drink it. I am sure it will be great to have on hand.
Love your blog! Keep up the great work of preparing us for an emergency, both big and small.

I would love a quick reference chart for totals, quantities, etc. for food storage. for example: how much food, water, etc, would one adult need for 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year.

This blog idea is genius! I am hoping it will help me know what to do with the BOXES of food storage i have downstairs!! that's my problem, i've bought what i've been told i need, but i don't know what to do to organize it, how to rotate it, what needs to be rotated, some good examples from fellow storers on how they have incorperated it in their daily recipes so they don't just have it sitting in their basement (like me!) etc. B/c I am sure there are many of us who have been buying food storage but really haven't been using it properly once we've gotten it!

I love the idea of having a preparedness blog! I would love for you to talk about alternative cooking methods. We live in hurricane territory, so being without power is always a possibility every summer and fall.

I like your layout & your ATTITUDE, these are tricky times and we ALL need to "HUNKER DOWN" in more ways than ONE! First things first! WE need to be an expert on WATER more than ever!! Best way to store water, how much, can we use recycled water after purification whats the SELF-LIFE of treated water??? YOU'RE THE BEST!!
