WATER PURIFICATION, TREATMENT, & STORAGE SYSTEMS
The minimum recommendation for water storage is to have at least one gallon of water per person, per day for a month. And since we guarantee the lowest prices around, there's no reason you have to be left high and dry without it.
The human body can last weeks without food, but only a few days without water. Having adequate water storage can bring health, safety, and convenience back to your life during times of crisis.
WHY WATER STORAGE?
Water is an essential component of life. During an emergency situation, drinkable water may not be available for a variety of reasons. Electricity loss and other issues can mean the loss of running water in your household. However, even if water is accessible during a crisis, it may be contaminated and deemed unsafe to drink. Contaminated water can be deadly. It is vital to have the capability to store fresh water for emergencies. We offer a variety of emergency water storage solutions to see you through any emergency, including a variety of excellent filters as well as canned water that lasts up to 30 years.
Water storage containers should be considered for long-term water storage as part of your emergency plan. We offer a variety of containers to ensure you can survive any crisis without losing access to water. These come in a variety of sizes from personal bottles on up. Ideally, every member of your household should have at least one gallon of water per day for two weeks as part of your emergency plan.
In addition to having suitable emergency water storage containers, it is also important to have the right accessories. Water filters and treatment systems are important to ensure the water you are drinking is always safe. Filters and treatment systems will ensure any unsafe water can be transformed into a clean, hydrating resource. Many of our water filters are conveniently portable so you can take them with you hiking, camping, or while enjoying other outdoor recreational pursuits.

WATER STORAGE
Store as much water as possible; aim for a month of stored water. Start small - enough for just one day - then build up to three days, one week, etc.
Good water storage options include large emergency water container (or other containers like water tanks or jugs), boxed water kits you fill yourself, and pre-packaged water like emergency drinking water pouches or small, pre-filled water boxes. If you are an urban prepper or live in a hurricane-prone area, consider a storage system like the Alexapure Pro Water Filtration System.
WATER FILTRATION AND PURIFICATION
Invest in a couple of different methods to purify and filter water, especially if you can't have permanent water storage because of limited space.
- A water filter: microfilters are the best for removing as many microorganisms as possible from the water.
- Chemical water purification/treatment options like the Aquamira Chlorine Dioxide treatment (for killing microorganisms that are too small for microfilters to catch).
- A way to boil water (an alternative to chemical treatment)- a portable stove is a great option for this.
- UV light treatment (disrupts the DNA of microorganisms, making it impossible for them to multiply in your digestive system).
