Washing out your water barrels and rotating your stored water has never been easier, thanks to the EZ Drum Cycler Water Valves. After adding 6-12 ounces of bleach to your drum and waiting 24 hours, all you need to do is:

  1. Screw on the EZ Cycling Valves
  2. Connect a clean, water-safe hose from your culinary water to the drum
  3. Connect another hose from the drum to your yard or drain
  4. Let the water flow for 1-2 hours.

And that’s it! The water flowing into your barrel will flush out the stored water, effectively pumping out the old water and replacing it with new, clean water without any effort on your part! By using the EZ Drum Cycler Water Valves, your ensure your water barrel contains clean, safe drinking water for your next emergency.

Additional Info Instructions:
  • 1. Use product only as instructed:
  • ​a. Remove drum plugs and pour 1 to 1.5 cups of new household bleach into your drum.
  • b. Add water until it brims over the side of the opening of the drum. Replace drum plug(s).
  • c. Let bleach solution sit for 24 hours to sanitize the drum.
  • d. After 24 hours remove the drum plugs and screw in the EZ Drum Cycling Components.
  • e. Connect a lead-free, water safe hose to your culinary water spigot. (Water in Valve)
  • f. Connect the white female garden hose coupling to the male end of Hose #1 and tighten well.
  • g. Connect the other side of the white coupling to Drum Cycler (Water In) and tighten well. This is where the water enters.
  • h. Connect the second hose or Hose #2 to the other Drum Cycler. This is where the water exits.
  • i. Put the end of the Hose #2 in a drain or a drainage area.
  • j. Check for and straighten out any kinks or blockages before turning the water on.
  • k. Slowly turn the water on at the spigot. check to make sure water is coming out of the exhaust hose.
  • l. Measure the flow of water. Ensure it does not exceed 4 gallons per minute. If it does exceed this flow rate simply adjust the flow down using the spigot valve.
  • l. Let it run for at least 1 hour.
  • m. After 1 hour taste the water. It should taste like tap water. If a strong bleach taste still remains keep cycling.
