Your new Blog is WONDERFUL!!! I could spend hours on this site! Thanks for a great way to find recipes to use food storage. I would like to see more on whole wheat bread recipes and how to use the dough enhancer(?)

I have been ordering for groups at church lately. Have had questions concerning how long the shelf life of products are after they have been opened and would like your opinion. Also I have been pleasantly pleased with your freeze dried products especially freeze dried meat. Couldn't imagine what to do with them before ordering. Just a little water and they are like fresh cooked meat. Makes dishes so simple.

I am interested in combining different grains and grinding them to make bread. Can you use any grains? Right now I use wheat by itself. What other combinations can I do to make my bread more nutritious? And how much of each?

I would like to know more about what is needed for babies/small children in an emergency. What are their requirements/needs? Could you give a recommendation for a 72 hour kit for all of us new mothers and mothers to be?
Molly
I'd like info on storage for the storage (e.g. specialized shelves, etc.)
Andrea
Since I have stored lots of your freeze dried products, I worry that the amount of water I have stored may not be sufficient. Any ideas on calculations to include the cans, short of figuring each product individually?
Lori
What a fabulous tool!

I would like to see a form or way for someone to easily calculate the amount of water they need as storage in order to rehydrate the amounts of dehydrated foods in # 10 cans in our storage. It is well known that we need one gallon per person per day for drinking…we can even survive on one-half gallon drinking water per day, but we neglect to figure in the amounts of water we need for rehydrating the daily meals required. It's easy to accumulate all the fabulous foods and condements that are now available to enhance our food storage, but we do it without realizing that we are going to need a lot more water stored to cook with it.
Lori
What a fabulous tool!!

I've heard that in an emergency when your water is turned off, you can use the water from your water heater and maybe even your washing machine. I would like to know exactly how to get access to that water. Love the new blog. Great layout and user friendly.

I would like to see something with a variety of recipes for using your basics like grains and beans. Even as simple as how to prepare cracked wheat or cook beans slowly. I know many starting their own families and weren't raised with that it their home, so major basics would be great!

I love coming to your site – either for real shopping or wishlist shopping.
If you could address tornado preparedness that would be great – I live in a house with NO basement and NO interior rooms (and my bathroom has a window).
