Thanks for the info. I didn't realize there was a difference in the buckets. I have the buckets but not the liners. I'll have to get some super buckets for the long-term storage items.

I use buckets a lot too but the problem I've encountered is the lids are so hard to remove. I bought the special tool for that. I always liked the idea of the screw on gamma lids and recently found a gamma lid and bucket at the thrift store for three dollars.

I have heard of superpails before. I always thought they were just a brand of plastic bucket witha vacuum sealer. I see I was wrong. I am getting ready to start my first food storage project and am seriously considering using them. thank you for the review.

There are a couple of reasons why Superpails are useful.
One is that the handle makes it easy to move them, which one might have to do in an emergency. And they're easy to stack.
Another reason is they have other uses when they are empty. They can store and transport water, you can wash clothes in them, and you can even use them to keep prepared food or equipment protected from wildlife, insects, and the elements.
They're also great stools.

Thank you for the comparison. I learned a lot. We are always looking for the best way to store our items.

The pails are great, but don't forget the metal interior bags and the oxygen absorber

I keep most of my food storage in Superpails. You forgot to mention that it's the most cost-effective way of storing food long-term. Now if only people had the space required for storing them, cause they're not small.
