Let me just start by saying that lasagna is my all-time favorite meal, so I tend to be a little critical when it comes to how it looks and tastes. I want my lasagna to be meat-filled with just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and pasta. So when I heard that Mountain House has freeze-dried lasagna I was interested, but also apprehensive. I really wasn't sure how it would turn out—even though it sounded so good.

Even after opening the package to prepare the meal I was worried that it wouldn't taste that great. Little did I know that my concerns would come to rest after simply adding hot water and waiting 10 minutes. The moment I reopened the package that old, familiar aroma struck me and with just a little stirring I found that the light, fluffy combination of freeze-dried foods I saw before was now replaced with a full, delicious meal, complete with all of my favorite ingredients. There was just the right amount of meat, sauce and pasta, and the melted cheese was so fresh it actually stuck to my fork as I ate.

I was really excited to see that the Mountain House cans were on sale this month, and that I can enjoy some delicious lasagna at a great price—20-25% off—and without a lot of dishes to wash or a long baking time in the oven. It's as easy as a bit of water and 10 minutes.
