Note: The Provident Pantry brand has changed to the Emergency Essentials brand! That means we’re updating labels on all of our products. We are switching labels on all products we are able to at our own facility. However, due to government labeling requirements for meat and eggs, those cans must be returned to a designated labeling facility for updating.

For the time being, all meat and egg products will continue to arrive with Provident Pantry labels. You are still receiving top-notch product, and we’ll begin sending meats and eggs out with Emergency Essentials labels as soon as they are available.

perfect for make ahead mixes

I have had these for a few weeks and just opened them to make some whole wheat, blender waffles. They worked perfectly.

I decided to try them as scrambled. I have never used dried eggs before these. I was a little put off by the color of the eggs. They were more the color of scrambled, butterscotch pudding. Despite the color, they tasted just like fresh scrambled eggs.

I did learn after the first try, you do need to keep the eggs moving slightly, the entire time they are cooking, or they make more of an egg pancake.

I am definitely going to be buying more of these.

Love It!!

It taste just like a fresh egg. Made some for breakfast a couple of times, asked the hubby if the scrambled eggs were from fresh or powder and each time he said fresh.

The powder eggs work great for cooking as well.

A must have for everyday use or emergency's.

Awesome

These dry eggs go beyond food storage. I have used them in cakes, brownies, and waffles and my family could not tell the difference. I really love that if I want to make half of a recipe that calls for one egg I can go to the dry egg mix and use 1 tablespoon to get an half of an egg - how awesome is that! I have also used these eggs to make my own easy bake oven mixes for my kid saving a ton of money. Great product I keep it in my food storage and an open can in my pantry. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Very Impressed!

I was pessimistic about the flavor of these eggs - I grew up watching M.A.S.H. and the characters were always complaining about having to eat powdered eggs. The product doesn't look good when it's first mixed but put it in the skillet and cook it up and suddenly it turns into great looking scrambled eggs! The flavor is great - fantastic with just a little salt and pepper, and I bet if you added some bacon or cheese or sausage nobody would know they're having reconstituted eggs.

I've also used this in store-bought cornbread and pancake mixes that require eggs. I just stirred it in with the dry ingredients then added the water from the recipe plus the water needed for the eggs - works with no problems.

Great product!

Great Product

I just got it in today and made some brownies and I couldn't tell the difference.

It say it has a long shelf life but once it's open I wonder how long it will last. I wasn't able to find this information on the package or here on line.

But, I am happy with the product and look forward to trying it in other things.

Use it everyday

We love this stuff. We use it consistently instead of raw eggs in recipes that call for eggs. Which is the idea, after all -- to know before an emergency starts that your provisions will actually work and that you know how to use them.

Absolutely Fantastic!

I purchased the whole egg powder for emergency purposes but I ended up using the entire can for regular cooking and baking and now I have to order a larger can. I made the egg drop soup from the video and we will never order take out again. I even tried them as regular scrambled eggs and they were wonderful. A must have for your pantry and extended pantry.
