Tastes like a pita
Tried this last night and was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It reminded me of a thick pita and tasted great with the MRE blackberry jam.

Had this with a chicken fajita MRE and it was satisfying. I wasn't sure what to expect of packaged bread but it was good.

Good snack or side!
This snack bread was definitely better than I expected it would be! The texture was good, soft but still with substance. Although it was a bit too dense to soak up gravy, it is an excellent spooning device for soupier entrees. Slightly sweet, the bread would be great in the morning with some butter and jam!

It was really good, better than I thought. We spread the MRE Cheese spread on it and it was even better. We are using these for our emergency kits.

Excellent Side Item
This is an item I use a lot. It is a little on the dry side but has an excellent flavor and goes great with peanut butter and/or jelly. I would highly recommend this item to anyone.

Sweet and Nutty
This bread has a sweet and nutty taste to it. I found myself wanting more of it. In an emergency this would be pure manna! On it's own taste it stands on it's own. I'd use this for my staple and bake bread for sandwiches. It is a snack in itself. Love it!

If I can't bake
You ever been out of bread for a few days? Camping, broke, whatever? You get a hankering for bread. This stuff would suffice. This is not gourmet, it's a holder for cheese spread. Still, I'm keepin' my stash!

This bread, spread with the cheese spread, is really good. I was expecting a harder bread- such as the old fashion army hardtack, but I was surprised I'm getting more. mre's in general are much better than the 'c' rats we had in the Nam. We threw the eggs at the Cong, hoping that they would do them in. ( no bread either )
