Allergens: Contains Wheat and Soy Products. Processed in a plant that handles milk, wheat, egg, soybean, peanut and tree nut products.

Directions: Combine 6 cups mix, 2 TB yeast and mix with an electric mixer for 15 seconds, add 2 cups warm water and mix on low speed for 1 minute. Then increase to medium speed for 10-12 minutes, until dough is smooth, dry and elastic, place dough into a lightly sprayed bowl then cover and let raise in warm area for 15 minutes.
Divide dough into three equal pieces and form into 3 french bread-style loaves. Place on a lightly sprayed or parchment lined baking sheet. Make a few decorative, diagonal cuts on top. Cover loaves, place in a warm are and let rise approximately 35-45 minutes. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Sourdough Bread Same Day

I used to make sourdough bread the hard way. I would make up my starter, tend to it for 5 days, then bake my first batch, then tend to the starter for another 5 days, then bake the second batch and so on. The second batch was always better than the first. Now, I can make great tasting sourdough bread without all the hassle. I just mix up the dough in my Kitchen Aid mixer, let it rise, and then put it on the pan and bake it. Turns out perfectly with a nice chewy crust on the outside and a rich dense inside. I highly recommend this mix for any bread lover.
