Old-Fashioned Creamed Peas and Potatoes Recipe

INGREDIENTS

2 C
Freeze Dried Potato Dices
1/2 C
Clarified Butter
2 C
Dehydrated Fat-Free Milk
2 C
Freeze Dried Peas
1/4 C
Flour
Salt and Pepper to taste

PREPARATION

1. Boil potatoes in water with a pinch of salt until tender; Add peas and cook for a few more minutes.

2. Drain water from saucepan.

3. In another saucepan, add clarified butter and flour to make a paste.

4. Add milk and stir until a thick and smooth cream sauce is formed.

5. Add sauce to potatoes and peas; Add salt and pepper to peas and potatoes to taste. Cheese can be added to white sauce if desired.
