Very good

I did an extensive taste test -- ordered 1 of every MRE I could find, from multiple vendors. Of all the entrees, five stood out in both taste and texture. This one, with the vegetable sausage (not the crumbles) was in the top 5. It doesn't have the calorie count of the meat-based entrees, but the flavor is decent and the texture is very good compared to others. Any child that can eat Chef Boy-r-dee ravioli will probably eat this.

These are MREs, so it's hard to give anything a 5-star rating in terms of being good food. But as an MRE, and even in comparison to higher-end hiking foods, this is a 5-star entree.
