Good solid kit

This kit is well thought out and put together. It literally has everything you need for a good solid 72 hour kit with a few extras. But, there's no cheap, easily broken items in this kit either. I could easily rely on the items here to make it through a rough patch.

Well Rounded Kit with the Essentials

It's a well-rounded kit with all of the essentials one would need in a 72-hour type kit. The first aid, food, water and other items are basically what I'd put in a 72-hour kit if I assembled my own. Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the items. You'll have to provide your own batteries for the LED headlamp and radio but that's understandable. The radio seems a little cheap but it'll work. I'm a ham radio operator so my BOB has a mil-spec handheld transceiver. If you're looking for AM/FM news, weather and music, this will work.

I have two complaints One is with the daypacks. The quality is great. But the color is red and there is an "Emergency Essentials" label on the pack. In an emergency, I think the color red and the label might attract some unwanted attention in an bug-out situation.

The other is with the tube tent. It seems a little weak. But, I can't see myself using it alone. I would probably use it under a lean-to to help keep rain and wind out.

Overall, a really good, well rounded kit.
