Priest Lake Island Camping use
I ran the Forest Service Priest Lake boat launch all last summer where many island campers used FS supplied buckets. I and others use this seat on 5 gal buckets. I recommend this seat with a 13 gallon tall kitchen trash bag filled with about 3 inches of clumping deodorant type cat litter. No problems, no oder & just throw the bag in the trash.

Very comfortable seat and it fits perfectly on a standard 5 gallon bucket. Shorter women may find 5 gal buckets a little too tall. The lid seals nicely to contain smell but it isn't an air-tight seal (strong aromas will leak).

I bought two of these to go in my family emergency kit for when the power goes out for long periods of time. They attach very easily to a 5 gallon bucket and they are comfortable to use for both children and adults. It would have been nice for them to come with instructions for
long term use. While the seal does a good job of keeping in the smells; if you have a power outage for more than a few days you would most likely want to buy wood shavings to put in the bucket to help with odor's and splashing. I also had one that the seal was not securely glued in; it was easy to fix with a little glue.
