Perhaps it was the "Freeze-Dried" in the description that had me wondering what this bacon was going to be like. Was I going to have to reconstitute it? Would it really be bacon-y? So I bought a couple of test cans... and oh my! It's going to take all my willpower not to eat my way straight down to the bottom; it's that good. You know those tiny bottles of bacon bits you get at the market? This blows them away. The difference is, the little bottles have bacon that's limp and fatty, but the FD bacon is crisp. No reconstitution necessary whatsoever. Cook with it, put it in salads, eat it straight from the can, keep it in storage, use it for every day... this is a real 20-star item. And just for the record, I immediately ordered another case because I do not want to be without it!
