Tastes Like Chicken
Works fine in things like divan. Not that great in salads, but not horrible. There was a lot of "chicken dust" (pieces that had been reduced to dust). I was a bit let down with all the dust, considering the price, but you can use it for broth, so it works out.

I purchased 2 cans of these earlier this year when they were on sale. I love using this to make BBQ chicken with (Add real mayo & BBQ sauce for a different twist!). I also used it in pasta dishes with different sauces. Very easy to use, very tasty, and I will definitely purchase these again!

Tasty, like roasted chicken
I was surprised at how good this tasted. It is quite a bit like home roaster chicken. Loads of chicken flavor with a nice bit of tooth. I would be hard pressed to tell it is dehydrated after rehydration. Next trip into the wild bringing some instant mash and some powdered chicken gravy.

Just like fresh
I can't believe how good this chicken is. I wasn't expecting it to taste as good as it does. I like it better than my home canned chicken...by far. It doesn't have that "canned" taste. It was so easy to rehydrate too. I just made chicken enchiladas and no one could tell it was freeze dried chicken. I will definitely be adding more to my food storage!

Love This Product
This is a high quality product. When reconstituted in water, it's rather bland, as all FD meats are, but as another writer said, that's a good thing. I'd rather add my own salt and seasonings than have it come out of the can loaded with sodium. Reconstitute it in chicken broth, and no one will be the wiser that it's FD. The chunks are good sized, and crumbling in the can isn't excessive. Great in quesadillas, soups, salads, and anything else you'd use chicken in. Reconstituted in chicken broth, it's great by itself. I'm constantly replacing the cans on my storage shelf because this is the one long-term storage food I keep using in my everyday cooking!

what a surprise!
Today I made a chicken/vegetable stirfry: layered rice, then re-hydrated chicken, then stirfry vegetables with a light cornstarch gravy and spices. Wow! Everybody loved it! (even my cats liked it!)

tastes like chicken
I tried this product a few weeks ago and it tastes just like boring old white meat. This is a GOOD thing! Many frozen chicken breasts are impregnated with chicken broth and additional salt which this does not have. So if you do use it in a recipe, remember to add some salt to suit your tastes. I am very pleased knowing that this is straight chicken because I prefer to know what is in my food.

Great tasting chicken!
I recently bought my first case of this chicken. This is a very high-quality product that is not only great for long-term storage but is easily served in everyday dishes as well. This is one storage product that you will never have a problem in rotating and using what you store. You can use this in a million different ways.
