Received this yesterday. Family was here today and we all decided we needed to taste test it.. Glad I did the group buy of 12.
I had also gotten a small can of the cheese powder to try, so I opened that and sprinkled it on the "freshly" rehydrated cauliflower and gave it a stir. What a great side dish it will make.
Even the grandkids wanted me to mix up some more. A definite re purchase.

I was leary trying this. But I thought I would try it, and if not good, hide it in cheese of course. Well I have to say I am impressed with it. When first opened it,it felt like stryofoam. The full size cans weigh less than the box they came in. Standing there looking at styrofoam looking food, my expectations fell. I rehydrated it per the instructions. Waited 5 minutes. Tasted it. It was a little lighter than fresh -in weight, but had an mild excellent cauliflower flavor. It was ready and very edible in those 5 minutes, but I tasted again in 10 minutes and the weight was similar to fresh. Since there are only 2 of us, and we are aging (a little), it will be a real treat to eat something other than corn, peas, and carrots during a storm, electric outing of several days/week duration, a HTF scenario etc., or just simply because I don't want to clean, cut up and steam or boil a head of cauliflower. Oh and the icing on the cake, the house didn't smell that awful cabbagey smell! Won't have to hide this in cheese. Buttered and with seasoning will be fine. But a cheese sauce will be nice too. And I can hydrate it and 'magic bullet' it in a hurry and slip it into other foods without the grandkids knowing there's a healthy veggie in their dish! I do not work for and am not affiliated in anyway with the manufacturer or this site. Ordering 6 more while they are on sale.

Freeze Dried can't be beat
While not in everyone's "favorite food" list, cauliflower is a healthy addition to many soups, stews, casseroles, and ethnic dishes. I was AMAZED how much this resembled freshly cooked cauliflower in smell, texture, and COLOR.(I gave up on the dehydrated form because it looks orange and doesn't rehydrate fresh). TRY THIS WITH a little CHEESE BLEND for a tasty side dish.
