This dried broccoli is really versatile. One night I wanted to make a broccoli salad, but our garden-broccoli had kicked the bucket and there wasn't time to go to the store. I didn't know if it would work, but I rehydrated some of this dried broccoli as an experiment, put in some carrot slices, mixed it with a dressing made of Miracle Whip (or mayo), a tiny amount of sugar, and a tiny pinch of nutmeg...and it was really good! (You can also add dried cranberries, raisins, bacon crumbles, almond slices, etc.) I'll probably be on your kids' hit list for this,, but I think that this is one of those foods that could be easily prepared in an emergency situation in a number of different ways....and many kids will eat broccoli with cheese sauce or in soup even if they don't like it plain.

Good flavor, but small pieces
Enjoyed this, but we are used to broccoli being much larger on the plate, so it wasn't quite the same experience we have with frozen broccoli. I'd buy again, though.

Not as good as some of the other vegetables
Of all the vegetables we took on our sailing trip across the Pacific to Australia, this one was our least favorite. The flavor was nice, but the florets were not as green as fresh or frozen - sort of pithy.

Talk about great stuff... I am impressed. Not what I thought it would be at all... This is quite close to fresh. I rehydrate and stuff it in the fridge and you can't hardly tell the difference from fresh. The taste and texture is superb! As for the "dust" ﾖ yeah, there is some - but it is perfect in rice and in mashed potatoes or making the "meals in a jar". Thank you for this product! My food storage has variety and "great tasting food too!"

I was a pleasantly surprised to open the can and find good-sized pieces of broccoli in here. Not only were the pieces uniform in size, but they were the actual florets, not stems! I have been known to snack on these right from the can - they taste the same as fresh, just crunchy like snack food! I use these for broccoli and cheese stuffed potatoes and soups. As a bonus, they are not at all mushy when re-hydrated! VERY pleased with this product!!

Almost like frozen!
This broccoli was better than I expected. I did only give it 4 stars mainly because there was a lot of broccoli "dust" in the can, at least 50% of it, and so not quite as many florets as the previous reviewer had found. I would buy it again, though.
