Water Barrel - 55 Gallon Drum
A person can live for weeks without food, but significant damage can be done to your body in a matter of days without water. That is why, in an emergency, water may be (besides your family) the most important item to have available. A 55 gallon water barrel is one of the easiest, most efficient ways to maintain your long-term permanent home water storage supply. Each 55 gallon water barrel provides enough water for drinking, cooking, and light personal sanitation for a family of 4. This amount is recommended as a minimum supply of emergency water.
No additional shipping cost beyond our normal shipping charges
Made from Heavy-duty, thick, high molecular weight polyethylene FDA approved resin and BPA free
Water Drum dimensions: 34 3/4" x 22 3/4"
The dark blue color of this 55 gallon barrel restricts light and helps control growth of harmful algae and bacteria
New and ready to use
Water barrel weight after filling with water is approximately 470 lbs.
We recommend the following: The Barrel Buddies bung and gas wrench, Emergency Siphon, AquaMira Chlorine Dioxide Water Treatment, Seal Caps, Drinking Water Safe Hose, portable water containers (Boxed Water Kits, Aqua Pak 5-Gallon Water Container, and Life Guard 7-Gallon Water Container & Bacteria Filter)

Overall Rating: Write an online review and share your thoughts with other customers Sort Reviews: Newest | Oldest | Highest Rating | Lowest Rating - Wednesday, May 02, 2012 Excellent Reviewed By: Kevin (Indianapolis, IN) Very good pricing as far as new water containers go. Bought 3 for an emergency for a family of 5. Shipping was awesome on the price, they did not gouge me. Seem heavy duty. Cheaper price then Sam's Club, and cheaper then any other place I have found - Sunday, March 04, 2012 Lowest price but.... Reviewed By: E. (Columbus, Ohio) This item was back ordered, but back in stock under two weeks. Shipping was fast as promised; however, one of the barrels was not shipped as indicated in my shipping reply. This was a warehouse error. Emergency Essentials stated they would ship the other barrel as soon as possible. I also ordered the 50 foot drinking safe hose to fill the barrels. One thing I did not think of was that a faucet to garden hose adapter would be needed per I did not want to fill the barrels from an outside faucet. I would recommend that Emergency Essentials offer an adapter to purchase, but it can be purchased at any hardware store for a few dollars. Over all I am happy with Emergency Essentials and the products they offer.
Emergency Essentials Response: Thank you for your feedback and information. We have found that most residential water supplies provide the same city treated water indoors and out. We recommend verifying that your water supply is potable prior to using a food grade plastic hose to fill your water barrel. An adapter would be a great option for those that don’t have potable water at their outdoor spigot. Thank you again for your review.
