KATADYN® Micropur™ Purification Tablets (Package of 30)
The only EPA Registered Purification Tablets on the Market - effective against Cryptosporidium, Giardia, bacteria, and viruses. They are the only disinfection system effective against viruses, bacteria, cryptosporidium, and Giardia. Unlike iodine tablets, these micropur tablets leave you with only the taste of fresh water. They are easy to use and have the same proven technology that is used in municipal water supplies. They are lightweight and compact making them ideal for traveling, lightweight backpacking, and emergency use. The purification method is Chlorine Dioxide and one tablet will treat 1 qt (1 L) of water. Each package comes with 30 tablets. The following is a list of "wait times": EPA Water #1 (clear, 20 degrees C) and EPA Water #2 (dirty, 4 degrees C) wait 15 minutes to kill Bacteria and Virus microorganisms. EPA Water #1 (clear, 20 degrees C) wait 30 minutes to kill Cysts. EPA Water #2 (dirty, 4 degrees C) wait 4 hours to kill Cysts.
