I'm picky about biscuits and gravy...
...and this actually better than some I've had in restaurants. I think the suggestions of putting it over mashed potatoes are right on the money. I had it over freezer biscuits and it was great. If you did dutch oven biscuits this would be a perfect topping. Have already recommended it to friends and will buy again.

Tried this for the first time on a camping trip this June. It was really good and fantastic over toast in the A.M. I am ordering more!!!

I didn't read any of the reviews before I tried it, but what this MRE has in it is gravy with sausage pieces like you would get on biscuits and gravy. It was really good, but not what I expected - if you get this MRE, get something to go with it - one of the other reviewers used mashed potatoes, which I would imagine would be great - biscuits would be a good choice as well.

Taste of the South
I poured this over a single serving of instant potatoes. Nicely flavored chunks of pork sausage and the best cream cream gravy I've had in a long time.

Pork Sausage w/ gravy is a winner!!!! I used a mre wheat bread as a biscuit. The sausage chunks are good sized and the gravy has a solid pepper flavor, texture and viscosity. The amount of gravy is most generous; two small servings (two wheat breads) are possible. I will be getting more! Fantastic for BOB breakfasts. I mixed up a MH eggs and bacon also and I am PACKED!

MRE is the acronym for Meals-Ready-to-Eat. These pouch meals were originally designed for our soldiers in the U.S. Military. These dishes are precooked and can be eaten cold or heated. Great attention goes into developing the recipes for MRE’s.
