I can a lot every summer and throughout the year. We love the steam canner for how quickly it comes up to heat and how quickly it reheats to can the next batch. (and the next etc...)I use it to heat the jars by turning upside down and steaming the clean jars. It works great, is easier to use than my old water bath canner. It heats the water up very fast and my jars seal every time there is no worry that they wont seal.
