They don't have that aftertaste that the dehydrated slices have. Because there are no additives or preservatives, I don't worry about the grandchildren eating them either. What a treat to have in my food storage. I love to just eat them dry throughout the day. They are great because you can take them everywhere and not have to worry about bruising the banana. Most freeze dried banans are lite little crispy clouds with a starchy taste and good banana flavor. Not the case with these at all. They are crisp and pack a punch of true banana flavor the instant you put them in your mouth without the strchy after effects. The freezed dried bananas are a must for emergency long term storage and great for everyday snacks or on long road trips. The grandkids really like them.
