They didn't make me thirsty at all. They taste like shortbread lemon cookies, actually very good. All three of my kids totally liked them, they are 6, 4, 2. My kids LOVE them and they are now a staple in our 72-hour kits as well as on camping trips. I have also been giving them to my youngest son who is underweight. It's an easy way to pack some extra calories on without battling over food issues.
