Really quite good!

I was prepared to give these three stars and a "Meh, they're OK," until I stumbled upon a great tip: once they're rehydrated, put them in a frying pan, cook off the remaining water (which helps with further rehydration because the water gets bubbling-hot), add a tiny bit of butter, and let them brown a bit. Then they go from "OK" to "Yummy!" In fact, I like them so much in this way that I now keep an open can in my everyday pantry.

quite surprised

I bought an individual sample to try first. Now I am buying a can, and plan on vacuum sealing in smaller portions to preserve shelf life. Not bad at all! I like @Scrablishes idea too! I have found that waiting another minute or two on all the products we tried was best. But overall pleased with Mountain House products.

Scrambled Eggs w/Bacon

Just tried the scrambled eggs/bacon...very tasty. I put in the 8 oz of hot water and waited the amount of time the package suggested. But it did not absorb all the water...we ate and drank it all anyway. You could add other food items to make it a larger meal. It was surprisingly good. Will try other items. Thank you.

Another Winner

I must sound like a broken record, but I think we are amazed at how good all of the Mountain House products are. Not sure what we expected, but ALL of the products we tried were wonderful including these eggs. Everyone loved them...even the dog! I wish Provident made single serving packaged items to try so you don't have to open a large can!

Similiar taste to Military food

I tried this product and had high hopes for the taste. I was as happy with it as hoped. Using the H2O amount in the directions leaves a watery residue. The bacon is TVP (bacon bits)as in the military we added hot sauce, salt and pepper to get additional flavor. Usint this with the hash browns in combo might work better. It is hard to beat fresh eggs.

great taste! I buy a can individually vacuum seal it and take it to work for breakfast. put it in my coffee cup add hot water.. 10 minutes latter I 'm eating a GREAT breakfast. most of the other people at work are getting candy bars out of the vending machines... buying two this time.. one for storage and one to use. This way I can keep rotating them out.
