2 Thumbs up!!!

Most people think of "emergency" food as MRE like. Mountain House has perfected the freeze dried food process. Sure the cans and pouches are not restaurant quality but they are surprisingly very good, better than you would think! Try a couple of pouches first if you are skeptical. Take them camping or store them for power outages. Lasagna with meat sauce is my wife's favorite, Chili Mac mine but I've heard that Turkey Tetrazzini is a common favorite as well.

Delicious

The Mountain Lasagna is surprisingly delicious. Tried the small 2 person pouch with my husband. He was very impressed. If this is "emergency" food, things don't look so bad! Only downfall might be the price. When not on sale, I can't afford it. For that I was going to only give it 4 stars, But the taste and ease of preparing, especially in an emergency situation, has to earn it two stars!

A little bland

This was pretty good, but it definitely needed some seasoning. Salt for sure, and some basil and/or oregano would be nice. Also, I thought the amount of water on the instructions was way too much - it came out very soupy. Next time I would cut back by half a cup at least.

Needs salt

Very good, no chemical aftertaste. My only complaint if you want to call it that, is that it needs salt badly. I realize that they have to cook things blandly to appeal to everyone, but if you are putting this in your storage, put in some extra salt, too.

Home Made Taste

The aroma when opening the pkg is like taking a fresh home made lasagna out of the oven. Some of us have been taste-testing for lunch at work, and this is the unanimous favorite for flavor. Use a little less boiling water than instructed, then add a little more at the end if you need it. Don't make it too loose.

Great stuff!

We have tried every mountain house product on trips ranging from 10 to 31 days. The Lasagna is our absolute favorite.Great taste, texture, and just to easy to prepare. It does have one SLIGHT drawback. The cheese does get stringing and while tasting great it is a PITA to clean up.

Must buy more!

I thought this dish was quite good, was definitely surprised at how melty the cheese was! I threw in some of the dehydrated chopped spinach for color. Wasnメt too salty and didnメt leave that fake, chemically after taste that some of the frozen meals have. I love how quick and easy these meals are. The leftovers stood up well for lunch the next day, an added plus.

Awesome

Ok, will have a hard time "storing" this delish dish...it is very good, very cheesy and the tomatoes are tasty. I love to cook and we NEVER expected to love the Mountain House foods as much as we do. Have not had one bad experience The food is quite good!

Better than homemade

This is so good, you will not believe that it could possibly be freeze dried. But it is!! Better than homemade!!

Excellent

Tasted great. Way better than frozen lasagna in my opinion. Lots of cheese and meat. Very hearty and surprisingly fresh tasting.

Delicious

We bought a small package of this to try before buying anything bigger and we all gave it a thumbs up. My kids especially like this.
