This is some great stuff. If you just need an easy side, or are looking for a great long term food, this is a must have in your inventory. I go through about 1 #10 can a month for side dishes while having about 12+ cans in reserve for long term food storage. Rotate your stock with side dishes you already eat and keep things fresh. If you will not eat it in a non emergency
situation, what makes you think you will like eating it during an emergency? Try these foods out before you rely on them for a devastating situation. You will find this beef stroganoff is an amazing dish!

My husband, who is a somewhat selective eater, sampled this at a recent conference. His immediate response was "we should be eating this on a regular basis....not saving it." So glad that he sampled this and gave it high marks!

This was the first time I have tried Mountain House and I was worried about buying something that my family would refuse to eat. Boy was I wrong! This stuff is really good! I added boiling water, let it set about 15 minutes and it was just right. I was amazed at how good it tasted. Try it and you'll love it!

You won't regret buying this one!!
The flavor is right on the money! I buy it in #10 cans and tranfer it to vacuum sealed bags and take it Geocaching and hunting.

My fave so far!
Beef stroganoff is one of my favorite foods, so I figured the re-hydrated version could easily go one of two ways. Fortunately, Mountain House's stroganoff took the high road and proved to be excellent. I love MH's ruffly noodles, and there was a true "stroganoff" flavor of beef, mushrooms, and sour cream. I'm definitely stocking up on this one.

I tried the Beef Stroganoff for the first time and was not disappointed. It was so tasty. I could not eat the 2 cup portion, so I would share with my husband in the future. If you are hesitant about purchasing this product...hesitate no more! Believe me, I was skeptical, but NOT anymore!!!!

Husband Pleasantly Surprised
My husband has used Nutri-system and said it worked and was edible but not tasty. When I bought the MH product, I asked him what he thought he would LIKE to try. He trusted me and FDBS was one that I picked. I was excellent. I didn't measure the water correctly so it was a little more fluid than normal but the taste was great. He commented that he didn't need to add anything to make it edible or even better. We've tried three other MH entrees and all have been very good. I wished there was a way to open a #10 can and keep it much longer than a week. That is the one problem I see for buying in bulk. With just two people we'd be eating it every day. Any suggestions?

I ordered 2 cans of the stroganoff last Oct when Mtn House cans went on sale. I opened one just to see the flavor and was pleasantly surprised also more surprised because my very picky 19 yr old son had found the can and gobbled the rest up within 2 days. He has asked me to order more for our emergency kit. I also ordered the sour cream powder from y'all and tried mixing with the stroganoff and made it even better if that's possible!!! Yum!!!

We just got this to try it out on a camping trip. It was recommended by the Emergency Essentials employee. I am a cook and quite picky... I have to say, this was quite delicious! The sodium and fat content were a little higher than desired but I still plan to buy a case of this to put in our storage and 72 hr kits. Highly recommended. Hope it goes on sale soon :). And looking forward to trying more flavors!

This stuff is really pretty good. I was sorting my emergency food recently and had some pouches of this. I decided to try one, had never tried any of the MH cans I have. I ate the whole 2 person pouch it was so good. My wife tried it and said she thought it also was good. Very happy.

This makes a very tasty dish. I add a bit more to it (garlic, seasoning salt, onion powder, pepper & if avail. Milk). The result is mmm even better. I think the only downfall on this is the noodle texture. Not that its bad..just could be a little better to make it *****.

My favorite Mountain House Meal
This is my favorite mountain house meal. It tastes as good as what I make from scratch without the long prep time.
