Great for what they are
I bought a mixed pack of these bars, and I decided to try a few out just to see how they tasted. These are very hearty, and pretty tasty! Their texture is a little different from a cookie; they are pressed solid, and they tend to crumble. Other reviewers (for other flavors) mentioned a "sawdust" taste; after trying them, I know what they're talking about but it isn't really a drawback. I plan to use these in my bug-out-bag, my car (for emergencies), and as a lightweight meal for backpacking.

These energy bars are great! I was afraid they would taste like cardboard, but they taste really good. I like that they keep well in a vehicle too. I keep them in my SWAT gear and in my patrol car for when I have to eat on the move. They have come in handy on several occasions and last year I went over 24 hours on just these bars, twice.
