These things are Cool! ...I mean Warm!
If you are going to get these, you need 10 at least! They are great but as the other reviewers said, they don't stay HOT very long. In our high altitude they take at LEAST 15 minutes in boiling water to bring back to their original condition. You HAVE to make sure EVERY SINGLE crystal dissolves or it will go solid again. So you might as well get a bunch of them and then when they are ALL used up you can boil them all at the same time. They sell a similar product (only heart shaped) through a "romance" direct sales company for over $12 each. This is a way better deal. Multiple Uses! (think hot massage)

Handy Hand Warmers
Cheaper in the long run via the re-usability . On cold days or nights Hotspots will keep your hand warm.

Received my hotspots today. I only got one for me and one for my husband, but I wish I would have gotten more since they are so inexpensive and REUSABLE! I used my infrared thermometer and it got up to 122 degrees F which is plenty warm! It only stayed really warm for 20 minutes. It stayed above body temperature for about an hour.

Your Kids Will Think These are Super Cool!
Okay - these really do work like they say they will, although I had a dickens of a time getting the chemical reaction started. (I finally used the convex side of a spoon to push on the very center of the disk - the side the is raise - that worked well.) As for the time the hotspots warmth - that wasn't as impressive as the 18 hour little hotties. If you move the gel around it does get quite warm but it cools down fairly quickly. Granted I did not use it in a pocket where it would have some insulation I also wondered about the cost and time of restoring them. Overall I would say the hotspot is a very inexpensive reusable emergency heat source. My boys thought they were super cool will enjoy using them on camp outs I give the Hotspot 5 stars for being fun to use and 3 stars for its efficiency and usability, thus my 4 star rating. I would buy them again but I will also keep little hotties on hand as well.

Perfect for hunters
My husband and I use these while we are out hunting. They get quite a bit warmer than the disposable versions, and the re-usability makes them worth their weight in gold. Wish they stayed warm a bit longer than they do, we carry one for each hour we plan on being out in the woods.

Wont be sorry if you buy these!
These are such great hand warmers!Reusable, perfect size, cheap, work great, did I mention REUSABLE! All you do after they are used is put them in a pot of boiling water wrapped in a towel for about 5 minutes, then they are back to original form and ready to be reactivated. Really a great product

Nice little re-usable heat packs. Used to have a couple of these in the past and was glad to find them again. Work great for targeting sore spots as well as keeping you warm!

Excellent multi tasker and reusable. We use these for heat application for necks, backs and muscles.
Great for spot treating cramps and tummy aches...

These are perfect for sending out with my daughter. I didn't want to use a disposable one every time she went outside to play (sometimes it would be for only 10 minutes) - it felt like a real waste. With these, I give her one for each pocket and simply reuse them.

Warm more than hands!
I gave these as Christmas gifts and one person uses them on his compact tractor. He was having trouble with the fuel gelling in the filter so he wraps two around the filter when he snowblows and it keeps the fuel flowing. They don't last as long as the disposable ones but the reusable makes up for it. EE's customer service is great too, thanks for your help!

I really like this product. I have already thought of several ways to use this product. The only thing I am having trouble thinking of is how to reuse this product when lighting a fire to boil water is out of the question and you are in the field.

1. Put HotSpot warmer in a bowl and cover completely with water (packet will explode if heated in a microwave without water)
2. Heat in 2 minute increments until completely liquified. If any crystals remain, the Hotspot will crystalize again and require reheating
