Emergency Essentials® Group Program
Save even more on your emergency preparedness and food storage items by participating in the Emergency Essentials Group Program. The Group Program is a simple, convenient way for family, friends, and neighbors to obtain discounts by purchasing together in bulk.
Each month we provide 4-5 items at a discounted price when your group purchases a minimum required quantity. Group members combine their orders through their Group Leader to meet that requirement. There is no shipping cost for the entire order when your group meets the minimum purchase requirement on at least one group item (regardless of the size of the order; must be shipped within the contiguous 48 states).
Anyone can become a Group Leader, and there is no cost to join or purchase through the Group Program. Group Leaders are generally enthusiastic about preparedness and are willing to help coordinate the order with the Group members.
Working together really works!
Think you might want to participate in the group program? Here are some details about how it works:
The Group Leader coordinates the order and ensures the Group Members receive monthly Group Specials information via email. The Group Leader is usually an organized person who enjoys serving others.
The Group Leader collects money from the Group members and places the order with Emergency Essentials. The order will ship to the Group Leader’s address unless specified otherwise. The Group Leader will receive an email before the beginning of each month with details about the new specials. The Group Leader also receives a letter each month explaining the specials and giving information about featured products. This monthly letter will be sent via First Class Mail, enclosed with the catalog or monthly sale flyer.
A Group Member is any individual with whom the Group Leader shares the monthly Group Specials. When Group Members are signed up under the Group Leader, they receive the Group Specials information directly through email each month and through our monthly catalog or sales flyer. This information is also available online at beprepared.com/groupspecials.
Each month there are four or five special group items available. These are unique or unusual buys we get that allow us to pass exceptional savings on to you. We receive great prices on these items because we purchase them in large quantities. We are often given special discounts by our vendors, and we then pass the savings on to you!
If your group is affiliated with any organization that is non-profit, be sure to abide by the requirements of that organization to avoid losing its tax exempt status. Individuals forming an independent organization and working together on obtaining food and emergency preparedness items would not fall under the jurisdiction of these organizations.
Informing Group Members is the key to a successful Group. When the Group Leader provides Emergency Essentials with the name, address, telephone number, and email address (if available) of each Group Member, we will then send them information in the following ways:
- We will email all Group Leaders/Members at the end of the month with the next month’s group specials. This way information is distributed without any work on the Group Leader’s part.
- We will send a copy of the monthly catalog (specials are on page 50) to the Group Members. Group Members’ names may be added by mail, fax, telephone, or email. See contact information below.
Required Minimums keep costs down so products can be offered at low prices through the Group Program. Under some circumstances we will make exceptions to minimum order requirements. If you have questions, please call Customer Service at 1-800-999-1863 or email at email@example.com.
Placing an order on “hold” is a Group Leader benefit. A Group Leader can start an order when anyone in the Group decides to purchase. During the month, you may add to the order as Group Members decide on items and finalize the order later in the month when it is complete. This secures items that may be low in quantity to ensure that the product is reserved for your Group.
Adding non-group items to a group order is an easy way to help your Group prepare without any additional shipping costs. When you have met minimums or had your order approved, your Group may add items from the catalog or website to the Group order at no additional shipping cost if shipped to one location in the contiguous 48 states.
Custom Group Specials are another way in which Groups can become prepared. Group Leaders can assess any special preparedness needs and receive a quantity discount. If there are items in the catalog that your Group would like to focus on, contact us and give the estimated number you will purchase. We will then give you a quantity bid. Email your custom requests to firstname.lastname@example.org
Ordering Group products from Emergency Essentials is easy. Whether you order by mail, phone, or online, you can always use personal checks, money orders, or a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card) to pay for your order. Remember to place orders as soon as possible to avoid missing out on items with limited quantities.
We encourage questions, suggestions, comments, and referrals for new Group Leaders. We also contact our Group Leaders every 2-3 months to offer any help we can.
We are ready to take your order by phone from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (MST) Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
