Very dense and chewy, VERY chocolatey
These are very fine grained and dense. It's a very chewy brownie not cake like, but if you are jones-ing for chocolate this will more than satisfy. I favor the pound cakes over this but will buy a few.

One of the best MRE products
After trying them I buy them at least eighteen at a time. They don't stay around long enough to keep in my emergency bag. Kind of like chocolate fudge cookies from the convenience stores, but will keep a lot longer, if you can keep from eating them.

Not bad at all....
Let me start off by saying that if you are thinking about buying these, sample one first. Also, you need to have an open mind about what you are getting ready to try. You have to keep in mind that these are intended for the military and are a compromise between long shelf life, nutritional value, and flavor. I like them personally. They are good and moist. They do not have a lot of sugar in them, which is just fine by me, but everyone's palate is different. If you are looking for a sweet brownie, stock up on the ingredients to make them and make your own as you will be disappointed. But if you are about to starve or just trying to stay alive, they will taste excellent, even to the most discriminating tastebuds!

I bought one to see if it was any good and it was. Very chocolately, not dry at all. It was a bit crumbly but not too bad.

I got three of these for my bug out bag, I opened one of them to see what it tasted like and I loved it

Had this as an afternoon snack with a cup of hot cocoa and it was wonderful. I will be ordering these by the case from now on to have on hand for those chocolate cravings.

Really tastes like chocolate
Bought 1 to try after reading the reviews. I would put this up against what is in the stores, it's that good.

These brownies are wonderful. It's nice to know that you can go camping or just have food for emergency supply that will actually taste great!!

Order this with our first order in June 2011. Decided I would try this and made it available to the whole family (15, 20, 23 year old kids and my wife) Everyone liked it although the kids were at first turning their nose up at it. Now I will have to keep an eye on our "pantry or stash" as these may disappear quickly.

I bought a few of these to try them out. In an emergency situation, these would be great to have on hand. High calorie count for an item costing just over a $1. Very filling and very good. A dark chocolate lover's delight!

Inexpensive enough to snack on
Every once in a while, I like a brownie, I happened to see some nice ones for a few bucks at a convenience store but didn't get one, came home and hours later I had that urge hit me so I ate one of these...it sated the need and was there when I needed it for a buck ten!

Mmmm! A chocoholic's delight! Very fudgy and moist. Next time I'll try adding vanilla ice cream on top of it for an even more scrumptious dessert.

Much better than any commercial brownie snack I have ever tried! Kids really enjoyed trying this one. Gonna have to stash these away to keep from being found and eaten.

These brownies are truly the best tasting treat I could ever hope for! I normally don't write reviews but these, I thought everyone should know about...I'd like to put them into home storage but we keep eating everything I buy. LOL

The Best MRE Item I've Tried
This is a great treat. Considering it is as good as any of the commercial brownies out there (and a lot better than most), AND it will keep for umpteen years, AND it is reasonably priced, this is a winner. This is the only 5 star rating I've given to an emergency food product so far.

Brownie Lovers Approve
My wife is a brownie lover like no other. I ordered the brownie to test it on my family to see if they would eat it if I added it to our food storage/emergency food supply. They all approved with a big thumbs up. My youngest wanted to finish the rest of the brownie before her other siblings could try it she liked it so much. Moist, flavorful, and down right good.
