Saved Us For Sure
We lost everything in the California Wildfires in '07. We couldn't leave the ranch because we had a hundred horses to care for. We didn't have any water or food or shelter, except one small barn. Some angel brought us boxes of MRE's and these heaters. The MRE's were great because these heaters were amazing. We had good, hot food for several weeks until we were able to get a trailer on the property to live in. Don't know what we would have done without the food and the heaters.

Long lasting heat
Bought some these to try heating MREs. This was our first time with both, we were sampling some of the meals for our 72 hr kit. Wow to these get hot, and the heat lasts long enough that we found we could heat a second entree in the same heater after the first one was warmed up. Very pleased.

Usage Tips: Keep the pouch on an incline while heating so the water doesn’t spill. Do NOT reach into the pouch until the chemical reaction is completed. Pour out excess water before reaching in to get the MRE out.
MRE is the acronym for Meals-Ready-to-Eat. These pouch meals were originally designed for our soldiers in the U.S. Military. These dishes are precooked and can be eaten cold or heated. Great attention goes into developing the recipes for MRE’s.
