Good in a pinch

Tried the Beef Ravioli and Chicken Noodle Stew for our first ever MRE meal. Both are pretty tasty! I preferred the Chicken Noodle Stew while my husband liked the Raviloi. We'll be trialing a few more items and then will be using them in our 72 hr. bags and food storage.

Backpacker's Delight

I love this stuff. I once went on a 3 day hike through a part of the Appalachian Trail and packed enough MRE's to last the hike. The entrees were 2 of these, and a cheese tortellini Those were my dinners. I loved both, but preferred the ravioli. Here's a suggestion. Take this ravioli, and take a wheat snack bread Break the snack bread up and mix it in to the ravioli(after the ravioli has been heated.) and eat. I love it and have henceforth dubbed it as Backpacker's Delight.(version 2.5)

Additional Info
MRE is the acronym for Meals-Ready-to-Eat. These pouch meals were originally designed for our soldiers in the U.S. Military. These dishes are precooked and can be eaten cold or heated. Great attention goes into developing the recipes for MRE’s.
