Banana Cake #1 Recipe

Baking Powder
1 tsp
Baking Soda
1/2 tsp
1 1/4 tsp
2/3 C
Solid Vegetable Shortening
Egg (4 Tbsp Whole Egg Powder + 6 Tbsp Water)
1 C
Freeze Dried Banana Slices, Mashed
1 tsp
Vanilla or Vanilla Powder
1/3 C
Dehydrated Buttermilk Powder
1 C
Freeze Dried Banana Slices


1. Reconstitute both cups of bananas, but only mash one cup.

2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Beat together sugar and shortening in large bowl until well-combined. Beat in buttermilk.

4. Pour batter equally into two greased and floured 9" round cake pans.

5. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes. Cool completely.

6. Frost one cake with whipped cream frosting, and place a single layer of banana slices on top. Place second cake on top and frost entire cake. Garnish with banana slices.
