Reviews

We love this canner

We looked for a long time at different pressure canners and decided on this one for safety, ease of use, size, and the fact that there is no rubber gasket to fail. We have put up chicken breasts, apple sauce, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, etc. They taste much better than store bought and the canner has paid for itself already. It says not to use it on glass top stoves due to possible breakage of the top, and discoloration. We have had no problems with our glass top stove. We will probably pass this on to our children and grandchildren. Very sturdy unit.

Additional Info
Why can’t this be used on glass top stoves?
No, it is our understanding that the manufacturers of glass-top stoves recommend using only flat cookware, and the ALL-AMERICAN Pressure Cookers have indentations in the bottom. Also, the cooker is quite heavy and if dropped or slid across the glass-top stove, it may damage the cook top. You may want to check with the manufacturer of your range for additional information.

It is important that you never cook rice, applesauce, beans, cranberries, macaroni, rhubarb or spaghetti in your cooker – these foods tend to foam, froth, and sputter and pieces of food could block the safety or pressure release devices; therefore, it is advised not to use these items in this pressure cooker.
