7-Layer Bean Dip Recipe

Yield: 6 - 9 fl. oz. cups

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups
Emergency Essentials Refried Beans, reconstituted
4 TBS + 2 tsp
Emergency Essentials Sour Cream Powder, reconstituted
1/4 cup
Emergency Essentials Freeze Dried Green Onions, reconstituted
3/4 cup
Emergency Essentials Freeze Dried Shredded Cheddar Cheese, reconstituted
1 cup
Emergency Essentials Freeze Dried Tomatoes, reconstituted
1 1/2 cups
Red Salsa
3/4 - 1 cup
Guacamole
1 (3.5 oz)
Can of Olives

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Reconstitute refried beans; set aside to cool. Meanwhile, reconstitute sour cream powder with 3 TBS + 1 tsp of water.
  2. Reconstitute cheese, tomatoes, and green onions; drain. Keep in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  3. Make salsa according to the Red Salsa recipe
  4. Once all layers have been reconstituted and made, layer each cup with the following:
    • Refried Beans: Roughly 3 TBS as bottom layer
    • Your favorite guacamole: 2 - 2 1/2 TBS
    • Sour Cream: Divide evenly amongst each cup
    • Red Salsa: Approximately 3 tsp each
    • Cheddar Cheese: 1 tsp each
    • Tomatoes: Divide evenly amongst each cup
    • Green Onions: 1/2 tsp
    • Olives: Sprinkle with 5 - 6


  5. This dish is a great dip to use at parties, for family night, or to impress any number of friends and family. Try it with tortilla chips, Mountain House Pilot Crackers, or any other chip or cracker.
