I ordered two kits to have a backup wrench and siphon hose. I cleaned out the barrels with bleach and water solution prior to filling. Keep in mind that getting pH test strips are a good idea when keeping water long term especially when treating with chemicals. Keep the pH around 7. After adding chlorine to the water wait 30 minutes before testing the pH. Too little chlorine or too much chlorine will give off a strong smell and is not always a good indicator. KEEP ON PREPPING!
