This monster of a water storage combo provides two 160 gallon tanks (that’s almost six 55-gallon barrels) while only taking seven and a half square feet of floor space. The combo also comes with everything you’ll need to fill, treat, and use your water tanks.Includes water treatment packages and a special drinking-safe hose like the ones used to fill water tanks on boats and campers. Here’s why we think the Water Reserve is so great (and why we’re sure you’ll think so, too):
  • 6 Aqua Mira water treatment packages, and one 50-ft hose designed for drinking water.
  • Made with BPA-free plastic.
  • Included lead-free spigots (spigot appearance may vary) and vent cap make for easy dispensing and rotating your water
  • Plastic has been enhanced with UV resistant properties (more sun protection!) to increase the life of your water and the life of the barrel itself.
  • Engineered to stack (up to two high)
  • Fits through a standard door frame so you can put it just about anywhere.
  • It’s FDA and NSF approved

Storage Tip: For best results, store off the ground using a pallet or wood slats (like 2x4’s).

Wonderful product

It's amazing that 320 gallons can fit into this small footprint container. Assembly and fill were easy. The instructions were easy to read and follow. It was a bit of a challenge to make the spouts line up pretty like in the diagrams, if that matters to anyone else. Very little effort and no leaks. I tore apart the palate that came with the delivery and made a wood slat base out of it.
I took off a star because, as others have mentioned, there are some plastic shavings inside. Rather than contaminate the inside with too much handling, I left the containers as is without rinsing. Yes, I left the shavings inside and didn’t clean the container myself rather than add MORE germs to the system by unnecessarily handing it. It’s made of an inert BPA free plastic, the shavings float on top, and the water is going to be sitting in the same plastic anyway, so I can’t imagine that it makes a difference.
Though it seems stable, it’s tall and narrow. If you have rambunctious children, keep in mind that 320 gallons of water weighs almost 2700 pounds.

Follow up review

This is a follow up review to my earlier report "320 gallon Water Prepared".

With regard to the use of the included Aqua Mira water treatment, allow a MINIMUM of 24 hours to elapse after initial treatment application for the chemical reaction to stop before conducting any taste testing.

After chemical reaction has ceased, sample water tastes at least as good or in my opinion better than filtered tap water.

Thanks again Emergency Essentials for offering a truly great product!!!

320 gallon Water Prepared

The online picture and description does not do it justice. This is a massive water storage reservoir system. Intelligent design. Fits through a standard doorway at least 29 inches or wider. Prompt and professional shipping. This is a great buy at a great price! Thank you Emergency Essentials!!

Read before buying

for over 800.00 for a couple of tanks I would expect them cleaned and sterilized, which they were not, both even had many shards and strips of plastic inside and a beast to try to wash out, be sides upon opening each there was an incredible plastic Oder which was overbearing and had to be aired and treated for days to remove most of the smell. The manufacture ignored my requests on how to remove the very powerful smell, they do not care I had to go to the internet and find ways. none of the complaints here has anything to do with emergency essentials they are the retailer for the mfg., and ES is a great retailer the problem is the mfg. and their zero customer care .and poorly prepared products., the containers themselves are super strong and the faucets of brass.

{Response from Emergency Essentials - Thanks for the review Mark1. We want you to be as happy with these tanks as we are. Here is some helpful info from the additional info tab. We'll make a better effort at having this information be more visible. Thanks again for the review.

Q: Should I clean my tanks before filling? A: Tanks are sterilized prior to delivery through an extremely high-temperature molding process. Rinsing your tanks may be helpful but washing them prior to filling is not necessary. Vacuum drills are used in the manufacturing process to minimize plastic shavings inside your tanks. To remove any shavings that may have fallen in during assembly you may use a vacuum or simply fill as normal then scoop the shavings off the top.  Plastic shavings are harmless and will float on top of your water. Chlorine, chlorine tablets, and other substances approved for treating water may be used upon filling your tank to kill bacteria that may have appeared during delivery. }

Space saving water storage

We saved a while before ordering two of the water containers. However, our lack of space for 6, 55gal plastic finally nailed it. The 320 gal takes very little floor space and is still 6 inches from the ceiling. A great fit for us. They were set on redwood timbers from a hot tub. For initial cleaning, we used a quart of unscented bleach mixed with a gallon of water, then turned it every which way, then rinsed it. We treated the water with aqua mira for the total gallons. I tasted it last week and it tastes just like my tap water. A very good product at a good price. It also shipped from Utah to Oklahoma in 4 days.

320 gallon water storage

Love the tanks, well made and sturdy. They fit nicely in our garage...a lot of water for such a small space. Tanks were unloaded without a pallet, so husband had to make one. These need to have cleaning instructions included on website or with delivered item. We used a soap and bleach solution to clean inside of tank...DO NOT USE SOAP!!!!! It took three hours of rinsing to remove soap suds.. Since all rinse water is not able to be removed, I would prefer a little left over bleach to soap. For the second tank we will clean with a little diluted bleach only. After cleaning fiasco, we partially filled with water to make sure fittings were tight and secure...NO PROBLEM THERE. So first tank is filled with water and purifier, bad news is we still have to clean the second!! Due to lack of cleaning instructions I am giving only 4 stars.

{Response from Emergency Essentials - Thanks for the fantastic feedback Linda. We've notified the manufacturer and they will add cleaning instructions to future tanks inside the product setup directions. We've also included this information in the additional info tab above.}

Additional Info
Features:
  • Enhanced quality plastic: FDA-approved high-density plastic is non-permeable and BPA-free. Enhanced with a special UV resistant formula to provide the longest shelf life for both your water and your tank.
  • Convenient: Filling and draining your tank is easy with the two included faucets. Whether you are hooking up a hose or filling up a bucket, you’ll love the convenience of the Water Reserve.

Q: Can I put this tank in-line with my house water?
A: Because your house water is pressurized and the tank is not, you cannot run water back into your house without a pump. You can, however, put your tank "end-line" using standard 3/4" male hose-thread and connecting it to the utility connection on the upper front of the tank.

Q: Will my tank freeze over?
A: It is not common for the tanks to freeze all the way through. If frozen, find water through the center cap.
